Americans with Disabilities Act
The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 substantially extended the obligations of employers to deal with employees who are unable to work due to injuries or illnesses. We help our clients understand the concepts of “reasonable accommodation” and “undue hardship” which are difficult to define, yet crucial to the legal concepts which define the rights of disabled employees and the duties of their employers. We work closely with clients to evaluate each situation, provide guidance on the employee’s situation, and preserve employers’ rights.
