Labor and Employment
Attorneys in this practice
The Labor and Employment Practice Area was formed to address legal challenges faced by employers. The group is a combination of business planning attorneys and litigators, all experienced with the federal and state legislation and judicial decisions that have expanded corporate liability in employment matters. Reid and Riege has worked closely with its business clients to develop policies that minimize the risks of costly employment claims. When necessary, our lawyers defend our business clients in actions before state agencies and federal and state courts.
The Practice Area emphasizes education and prevention, assisting business owners in strategic planning and policy development based on thorough knowledge of employment and personnel laws and regulations. When claims are filed in court or at governmental agencies, we partner with our clients to determine a cost-effective approach to resolving the dispute, consistent with the client’s strategic business and human resource goals. Our Litigators emphasize thorough investigation of claims, and early analysis of opportunities for settlement and evaluation of the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms.
